Building a Stronger, Smarter, and Sustainable FBCCI
Abdul Haque
Presidential Candidate, FBCCI Election 2025โ26 & 2026โ27
As I step forward to serve the business community, my commitment is to transform FBCCI into a results-driven, forward-looking, and globally connected apex body. The first 100 days of my presidency will be marked by action, accountability, and measurable progress. Here are the 10 core commitments that will define the beginning of this journey.
1. Presidentโs Delivery Unit (PDU) & Data Hub โ Day 1โ15
I will establish a small but effective โwar roomโ within FBCCI to monitor 25 priority reforms such as VAT refunds, port efficiency, power supply, foreign exchange, and skills. To ensure transparency and accountability, FBCCI will publish a monthly Business Pulse, enabling members to track reform progress in real time.
2. Sector & State Councils Reloaded โ Day 1โ30
I will constitute 20 sector councils and 8 divisional councils, each with clear charters to guide their work. For the first time, we will recruit dedicated policy analysts to support these councils, ensuring research-based, evidence-driven recommendations that influence government and business decisions alike.
3. Trade Facilitation Fast-Track โ Day 1โ60
To cut red tape and boost competitiveness, I will co-chair a joint taskforce with NBR and port authorities to accelerate the Bangladesh Single Window (BSW). We will launch a pilot program to fully digitize 10 high-volume customs clearance processes (CLPs) in Chattogram and ICD, targeting faster and more efficient trade flows.
4. SME Breath CreditโBangladesh โ Day 10โ60
Inspired by TOBBโs model in Turkey, I will launch โBreath Credit Bangladeshโ, a special credit line for SMEs in partnership with three leading banks and a local guarantee fund. This initiative will ensure quick, affordable financing for VAT-compliant businesses, giving SMEs the liquidity they desperately need to survive and grow.
5. Export-Ready 500 โ Day 15โ90
Through the Export-Ready 500 program, FBCCI will select 500 SMEs and provide hands-on support in diagnostics, export planning, and e-commerce enablement. These businesses will be coached and connected to new global buyers, making them truly competitive in international markets.

6. GlobalConnect@FBCCI โ Day 20โ100
I will launch GlobalConnect@FBCCI to expand Bangladeshโs international presence. In the first 100 days, we will open 6 new markets, facilitate 20 B2B matchmaking events, and prepare for 5 expos across 5 continents. This will give Bangladeshi businesses the platform to build global partnerships and attract foreign investment.
7. FBCCI Entrepreneurship Development Institute โ Day 30โ100
To build the next generation of entrepreneurs, I will establish the FBCCI Entrepreneurship Development Institute. This institute will deliver training in entrepreneurship, IT, ICT, programming, and freelancing, creating a self-employed youth force equipped for the demands of the future economy.
8. Arbitration & Mediation Centre @ FBCCI โ Day 30โ90
I will set up a fast, low-cost Arbitration and Mediation Centre at FBCCI, aligned with ICA standards. This centre will partner with district chambers to make dispute resolution accessible to businesses nationwide, ensuring that conflicts are resolved quickly, fairly, and without costly litigation.
9. Digital & Startup Economy Council โ Day 15โ100
Bangladeshโs future lies in digital transformation. I will create a Digital & Startup Economy Council, modeled after the Dubai Chambers, to focus on ICT, e-commerce, gaming, cybersecurity, and AI adoption. SMEs will be supported with AI adoption vouchers, linking digital skills to procurement opportunities, helping them modernize and compete.
10. Green Industry & Climate Finance Desk โ Day 30โ100
Sustainability is critical for our long-term competitiveness. I will establish a Green Industry & Climate Finance Desk to help firms prepare bankable decarbonisation projects in energy efficiency, rooftop solar, wastewater management, and circular economy practices. A pilot FBCCI Green Industry Certification will also be launched to align our industries with global ESG standards.
Conclusion
These first 100 days will not be about promises they will be about results. By strengthening governance, empowering entrepreneurs, expanding global reach, embracing digital innovation, and driving sustainability, FBCCI will truly become the engine of Bangladeshโs economic transformation. Together, we can build a Stronger, Smarter, and Sustainable FBCCI for the future.
